CLOTHING DONATIONS

The MS/HS PTSA is collecting old clothing, shoes, and textiles. Every pound recycled supports the organization. Bins are located at the front of the south parking lot (#2) at the elementary school.

Lightly used items are reused for thrift store inventory. Heavily used items are recycled. Acceptable donations include clothing, footwear, accessories, handbags, luggage, linens.

The bins do not accept toys, books, garbage, electronics, rugs, or furniture.

WHOLE MILK IN SCHOOL

Last week, the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2025 became law, ultimately permitting school food service programs that participate in the National School Lunch Program to sell whole milk to students once again. Learn about what this means for Greenville on our website.

YEARBOOK COVERS
There are all kinds of art careers and forms of art in our contemporary visual world. Traditionally, Drawing and Painting, and Advanced Studio Art focus on the classic forms of art making. But this year, we mixed it up and tried out illustration/graphic design to create yearbook covers!

The two classes were given the open-ended challenge of creating a design that could be used as the 2025-2026 Greenville High School yearbook cover. We looked at covers that had been selected in the past by the student body and why they may have been selected. We talked about the use of imagery, colors, and fonts. We also went over graphic design terms like bleed lines, layers, and templates.

All students came up with unique designs using the mediums and subject matters that they felt would make a winning cover. Check out the designs these talented students came up with. How can you pick just one?! Students, look in your email for a form to vote on your favorites by Friday!
