TAKE THE PERCEPTION SURVEY

Here at Greenville Central School District, we’re always looking for ways to improve. To that end, we’re conducting our annual perception survey, and we need your feedback.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey appropriate to your child/children’s school building(s). Survey links will be open until March 20. We will use this feedback to guide our efforts as we work to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.

MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION FORMS

A Notice from the School Nurses
"For medications given in school, the New York State Education Department requires prior written approval from both a healthcare provider and the parent/guardian for both prescription and over the counter medication (OTC).  If your child requires medication, both your healthcare provider and you will need to complete a Medication Authorization Form. Once completed, this form allows the school nurse to administer or apply OTC medication to your child during school hours."

PARENT INPUT ON PLACEMENT FOR 2026-27
The creation of class lists is a complex process that prioritizes the educational needs of each child and the needs of the entire grade level. Having parent information is helpful to us as we match children to their peers and specific learning environments. Please do not request a specific teacher, as these requests are not honored.

Final decisions regarding placements, with thoughtful consideration of parent and faculty recommendations, will be made by the principal. Responses to the Parent Input on Placement form are due by Monday, March 30, 2026.

UPDATES & REMINDERS

DECA STATES
DECA is a high school student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs through hands-on experiences in business, marketing, finance, and hospitality. Students develop real-world skills such as leadership, teamwork, and career readiness while connecting classroom learning to practical applications and community involvement. Additionally, students can compete academically against other schools at the local, state, and national levels.

Greenville's newly established DECA club has over 20 participants, three of whom are currently attending the State conference in Rochester after qualifying at the Regional competition in January. Senior Nicole Chase is competing in the Business Finance Series. Junior Alannah MacDonald-Katz is competing in the Restaurant and Food Service Management Series. Freshman Isabella Acker is competing in the Human Resource Management Series.

The state competition features 3,000 high school competitors from over 100 DECA chapters across the state. The top 5% of each performance event will qualify to attend the International Career Development Conference at the end of April. Best of luck to Nicole, Alannah, and Isabella!
