STAFF BASKETBALL GAME IN MEMORY OF EMILY SMITH

As our community mourns the tragic loss of 2024 Graduate Emily Smith, our Staff Basketball Game will look a little different this year - we'll be playing in memory of Emily.

Proceeds from admissions and its donation jars will go to the Emily Mae Smith Animal Fund and the Emily Smith Memorial Fund at SUNY Potsdam.

Proceeds from the concession stand and its donation jars will provide clothing and care items for K-12 students through the ES Nurse’s Closet, MS/HS Care Closet, and MS/HS Clothes Closet.

If you have photos that you'd like us to add to Emily's memory wall, please email pizzolas@greenvillecsd.org or text 838-250-3988.

UPDATES & REMINDERS

MIDDLE SCHOOL AWARDS NIGHT
Invitations to the MS Awards Night have been emailed to all families of students who will be receiving an award. Please check your email.

7TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES
Seventh grade social studies students kicked off a unit on 19th Century Social Reform by identifying a problem they would like to see solved in the world around them. They then had to share with each other to try to find people with similar concerns and create a group with a common goal or purpose. Students learned how certain issues may seem unrelated, but can actually be intertwined and that organizing around issues helps the issue get more attention. We will be using this activity as we discuss the impact of social reform movements like prison reform, education reform, women's rights, and abolitionism in the 19th century.

MAKERFEST EN ESPAÑOL
Students in Mr. Pinder's Spanish class prepared for Makerfest this week by creating posters that advertise the fun event to their fellow students. Check them out above!

STUDIO ART STUDENTS
Ms. Steele's 8th graders have excelled in their high school Studio Art class!  Check out a few working on their Artist Research & Reproduction final projects above.

If you wait until after June 20th, it will cost you $15 and your college will receive them at a later date. If you have ever taken an IB course, you must complete this form by June 1st and I will contact the IB and have the scores sent to the college of your choice for FREE.  If you don't, you will have to reach out to the IB on your own and it will cost you $17 and your college will receive them at a later date. Please reach out to Mrs. Fritze with any questions.
