Our schools are the heart of the Greenville community, and it takes a dedicated team both inside and outside the classroom to help them thrive. To connect with community members interested in meaningful employment opportunities, Greenville Central School District is excited to host its first-ever Job Fair.
Whether you're looking for a stable career with excellent benefits or a flexible position that aligns with your child's school schedule, Greenville has opportunities for you. The Job Fair will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Elementary School South Parking Lot (Lot #2) and Cafeteria. Interested candidates can apply and interview on the spot.
The District is currently seeking food service workers, aide/monitors, bus drivers, and substitutes for all positions. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from various departments, learn more about available positions, enjoy refreshments, and speak with current staff members about their experiences working at Greenville. Student volunteers will also be available to assist with childcare during the event. Graduation is Friday, June 26, 2026 at 6:00pm in the MS/HS Auditorium. All guests must have a ticket. Guests may arrive at 5:15pm. Doors to the auditorium will close promptly at 6:00pm for the procession of graduates and will reopen afterward for any late-arriving, ticketed guests.

All extra ticket requests were honored, but not all tickets are seated together. - White tickets indicate “up front” seating in the auditorium. SUMMER SLIDE FOLDERS
This year, Summer Slide is going DIGITAL with a website full of daily activities and challenges. Instead of a take-home folder, kids can use the website every day to keep their skills sharp. Printed copies will also be available by request in the main office for any family who prefers a paper version. Students who participate will receive a certificate, and their names will be entered into a drawing for a popsicle party in September.
ERNIE BELL AWARD
Elliot Snyder was awarded the Ernie Bell Award at a special ceremony during lunch last week. Elliot has shown incredible growth not just academically, but as a person. He has overcome challenges, worked hard to develop self-control, and demonstrated strength by persevering even when things were difficult. Elliot never gives up and keeps pushing forward with determination and a smile. Congratulations, Elliot!
BOOKWORMS CELEBRATION
Students celebrated their literacy growth on Tuesday during the first annual Bookworms celebration. Rather than using a single format, classes had the freedom to share their "Book of the Year" in creative ways, giving students an opportunity to reflect on the reading experiences that shaped their year.
The event also served as a preview of the next grade level's reading curriculum. Classes welcomed students from the grade below to share their favorite books of the year, then later visited the grade above to hear about the books those students enjoyed most.
For fifth graders, the celebration included a visit back to their kindergarten classrooms just before graduation, bringing their elementary reading journey full circle. Thank you to our Literacy Coaches, Reading Interventionists, and Mr. Berkshire for all their hard work in facilitating this event! 5TH GRADE ADVANCEMENT PHOTOS

Senior portraits will be taken at Greenville High School on August 6 & 7, 2026 by Upstate Images, the Yearbook's official photographer. Scheduling a portrait session with Upstate Images is essential to ensure your inclusion in the senior yearbook.
To book a portrait session, visit the Upstate Images website: https://www.upstate-images.com/seniors. Select the Capital District region when booking your appointment.
Yearbook Portrait Requirements: Students may submit a vertical image of their choice. Clothing must be logo-free. Session 1 Sitting Options and Fees: (Sitting fees are prepaid online when the session is booked.)
- Platinum: $40 sitting fee includes 25-30 images (traditional yearbook attire, cap and gown, three casual outfits, multiple backgrounds)
- Gold: $30 sitting fee includes up to 20 images (traditional yearbook attire, cap and gown, two casual outfits, multiple backgrounds)
- Silver: $15 sitting fee includes up to 15 images (traditional yearbook attire, cap and gown, one casual outfit, multiple backgrounds)
- Yearbook Only: Free session for those who need it. This includes four images in yearbook attire only. The yearbook-only session cannot be booked online. Call 1-855-773-3321 to book this session. GRADUATION INFORMATION
Tickets
- Each student was allotted at least 7 tickets for graduation. For students who requested extra tickets on the Graduation Ticket Google Form, those requests are being processed.
- Tickets will be distributed at the end of Friday's mandatory graduation rehearsal.
- White tickets indicate “up front” seating in the auditorium, blue tickets indicate seating in the cafeteria section.
- Due to the size of this year’s graduating class, it is unlikely that extra tickets will be available at the door.
- All guests must have a ticket in hand to enter the auditorium.
- Guests must keep their ticket with them at all times.

- Dates to Remember:
- June 26: Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal, 9am, MS/HS Auditorium (This is a mandatory student-only event. Student must be present and on time to receive graduation tickets.)
- June 26: Graduation, 5:15pm, HS Gym, Students must report ON TIME for line up.
- Emails: As part of your transition to after high school life, you need to transfer any documents from your school Google account to a personal Google account. You can use Google Takeout to help you transfer your documents. It will not work to simply share your documents with your personal account, you need to transfer them. Here is a Google Doc that walks you through how you use Google takeout. We plan to suspend all Senior Google accounts on August 28th, please have everything transferred by then. If you have any questions on how to do this, please contact Mr. Grennan.
- Laptops: If you have a district issued device (laptop), it must be turned in before you graduate. You may turn in your laptop to the IT Department offices at any time if you are finished with it. When turning in your laptop, please make sure you bring both your laptop and charger. If you don't have the bag, don't worry about it. If you have misplaced/lost your charger, please be prepared to pay for it when you drop off your laptop so we can replace it. A charger is $35, we will take cash or a check made out to "Greenville CSD." *** IF YOU DO NOT TURN IN YOUR LAPTOP AND CHARGER (or pay for it), YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR DIPLOMA AT GRADUATION. *** If you have any documents stored locally on your laptop (for example on your desktop) that you wish to keep, please upload them to your Google Drive before you turn in your laptop. Your laptop will be erased after it is turned in.
JUNIOR CLASS HOFFMAN CAR WASH SALE
Need a car wash? The junior class is partnering with Hoffman Car Wash to raise money. Simply purchase an interior or exterior wash online and redeem at any Hoffman's location. 50% of the proceeds are donated back to the Junior Class. To order, just visit hoffmancarwash.com and under "Practice Kindness" select "Helping Hands." Choose "Find Existing Campaign" and search "Greenville" in the search bar. The fundraiser ends June 26, 2026.

FEATURING STUDENT ARTIST: ZOEY DEERING
The concept of communication and the lack of it is something that every person comes into contact with on the daily. In my exhibition I aim to make my audience aware of how many times they come in contact with communication, or the lack thereof. Whether it’s interpersonal relationships, advertising, the use of propaganda, entertainment, social media, advancements in technology, or age-old writing, communication is in everything. It is our whole lives as humans; everywhere we go, someone is always trying to tell us something.
